The committee is responsible for monitoring tbe health and welfare of members. The committee maintains a link with members who are unwell, make visitations and provide friendship and support. The committee members may send flowers or cards to members who are unwell, have lost loved ones, and keep the Lions Club aware of difficult times.

The committee members assist where possible with vision testing in elementary schools. Requests for financial assistance for the blind or hard of hearing residents in our territory are reviewed and advice provided to the Executive.

Community Involvement/Special Projects
This committee serves as a liaison with the overall communities within our Lions Club jurisdiction by organizing small projects that will show the Lions Club interest in helping in the communities. The group organizes activities for seniors who need support, helps drive people to medical appointments, provides volunteer help at Food Bank, does liaison work with the Findlay Creek Community Association, and much more. The committee identifies small projects that
can be undertaken by some of our retired senior members. This committee is responsible for assisting the Findlay Creek Community with their Pancake Breakfast by purchasing ingredients and serving the pancakes and sausages.

Christmas Tree Sales
This committee is the organizing and co-ordinating group for the Gloucester Lions Club annual Christmas Tree Sales Campaign. They arrange for the purchase and delivery of the trees, set up the two tree lots and organize members and volunteers to manage the tree lots over the month of December. The Committee prices the trees and advertises the lots. Funds are collected from the daily sales and deposited into the club bank account. The committees work provides the main source of revenue for the Gloucester Lions.
